Product information "wooden music box birdcage"

Turn the crank of this charming music box birdcage and let the delightful melody of "Alle Vögel sind schon da" fill the room. Inside, a tensioned wire and quills create a tinkling sound, reminiscent of the early music boxes crafted in Seiffen around 1800. This piece is a beautiful homage to the original "Klimperkästchen," the predecessor of modern music boxes. Over time, mechanical movements replaced the tinkling, marking the birth of the Erzgebirge music boxes. Today, they are still produced in a wide variety, featuring intricate wind-up mechanisms.
